The authorities reported that the social program My Scholarship to Start will have a 20 percent increase before the end of the current school year. This was confirmed by the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaumwhose administration created this support.
As is known, M.i Beca para Empezar is a program that supports students basic level who are in public schools in Mexico City. Recently, Claudia Sheinbaum pointed out that the amount received by the beneficiaries of this scheme would have a increase of 100 pesos per month.
As reported in The Truth News, Mi Beca para Empezar is deposited to the beneficiaries on a monthly basis during the duration of the school year, that is, this support is not delivered during vacations. In this sense, it is known that the next payment is in May.

In this sense, the CDMX authorities indicated that the increase will be applied for amounts paid by My Scholarship to Start starting this month of May, so the beneficiaries will receive a higher amount than they received in April. This will be applied for the remaining payments in the current school year 2022-2023.
It should be noted that, after the announced increase, the amounts paid by Mi Beca para Empezar were as follows:
- Preschool went from 500 to 600 pesos per month.
- Primary and secondary went from 550 to 650 pesos per month.
Furthermore, the register to request My Scholarship to Start It is still open, since the deadline to carry out this procedure is next May 31.
