On Saturday, April 29th, 2023, Götzis was the scene of the Open State Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
The open Vorarlberg state championship with participants from other Austrian federal states and Switzerland began in the morning with the competition classes and the children’s 1 competition. 9 Götzner gymnasts started here and were happy about three podium places. Melissa Zwickel won the gold medal in the junior competition class, Larissa Klien secured the bronze and Luisa Lins also won a bronze medal in the children’s 1 category. After the lunch break, the youth, junior and elite competitions and 3 more Götzner gymnasts continued. In the youth 2 category, the silver medal went to Coco Speckle and in the youth 1 category, Aurelia Stropnik took the bronze medal.
On Sunday the first International Team Cup was held in Vorarlberg, with gymnasts from all over Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Sparkasse SG Götzis was represented by two gymnasts in this competition. In the large group of eleven teams, the team with Coco Speckle just missed the podium and ended up in fourth place, followed by the team with Aurelia Stropnik in fifth place.
