The national production of vehicles, in April, rose 24.1% annually, reaching 54,399 units, indicates a report by the Association of Automotive Factories (ADEFA). Regarding the monthly variation, production falls 11% less compared to March.

Automotive terminals exported 30,736 vehicles, 12% higher than the volume registered in April 2022 and 5.2% below its comparison with the previous March.

In wholesale sales, the sector sold 33,795 units to the dealer network in April, 9.5% above the volumes of the same month last year and 11.3% less than the previous month.

In the accumulated first four-month period, the sector produced 188,973 passenger and utility vehicles, that is, 26.9% more than the 148,884 units it produced in the same period of 2022.

“The sector continues to consolidate the expected scenario of increased production and exports in line with the scenario projected at the beginning of the year,” said Martín Galdeano, president of ADEFA.

“This behavior -he added- is the result of a deep and committed daily work by the value chain and the authorities. It is necessary to continue working and dialoguing with each of the actors to maintain this growth trend in our industry” .

In the accumulated January-April, the terminals exported 98,474 units, 21% more than the 81,376 units that were shipped to various markets in the same period last year.

In the first four-month period, a total of 124,119 units were sold to dealers, 12.6% above the 110,267 units that were delivered between January and April of the previous year.
