After his role in the mystery film Murder Mystery 2alongside Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler, Mélanie Laurent is back on Netflix with her new action film titled Thieves. The feature film with an attractive cast features a trio of burglars who are preparing to bow out in order to stop their illicit activities. But to achieve this new peaceful life, the thieves will have to accomplish one last major mission: steal a work of art of inestimable value. The action comedy will be available exclusively on Netflix on November 1 and the streaming platform has just revealed the first trailer.

Mixing humor and action, Thieves is gradually revealed before being put online on Netflix through the trailer published by the platform on October 4. From the first minutes of the trailer, Alex, played by Adèle Exarchopoulos, does not hesitate to jeopardize the mission she is carrying out in tandem with Carole (Mélanie Laurent), because she has just received a breakup message. This first sequence therefore gives a taste of the comic side of this action film. We then discover that the duo will be joined by a third accomplice, Sam, a former F1 driver who is not afraid, played by Manon Bresch. In this first video, the public finds all the codes of action films, with conflicts and sensational scenes, suggesting that Thieves could turn out to be next Impossible mission feminine.

Stunts, action and complicity for Mélanie Laurent, Adèle Exarchopoulos and Manon Bresch

Both in front of and behind the camera, Mélanie Laurent surrounded herself with a 5-star cast for her new feature film. At her side, the talented Adèle Exarchopoulos (The Life of Adele) and Manon Bresch, known for her roles in More beautiful life and the series Deadly from Netflix, play Alex and Sam respectively. The outstanding thieves are revealed in the trailer through perilous stunts, explosive action scenes and moments of complicity, all in the middle of breathtaking landscapes, between the roofs of Paris and the Corsican mountains. Isabelle Adjani joins the cast in the role of their leader, the terrible Godmother, against whom Carole, Alex and Sam will ally with Abner and Clarence, played by Philippe Katerine and Félix Moati.

For her new work, the French actress and director drew her inspiration from comics The Great Odalisque by Bastien Vivès, Jérôme Mulot and Florent Ruppert, published in 2012. The book was itself inspired by the manga of the 1980s Cat’s Eyefeaturing three thieves actively sought by the authorities and which will soon return in a new version on TF1.
