Due to rising offer prices, many Airbnb users are only looking for individual rooms. Therefore, there is now the category “Rooms”.
The apartment platform Airbnb wants to focus more on renting individual rooms after the increase in asking prices. On average, a room offered on Airbnb costs $67 per night – and 80 percent of the price is less than $100 (a good 90 euros), the US company emphasized.
The new Airbnb Rooms category currently has more than a million rooms on offer and contains, among other things, more detailed information about the hosts.
Since the Corona pandemic, long-term rentals have increased at Airbnb, while the holiday travel market is also recovering. The new features now being presented also include a reduction in the service fee for long-term stays of more than three months. (dpa)
