While Disney+ is currently presenting itself as a flagship platform for Christmas films, it will continue in January with comparatively few new releases. Among other things, the second season of the Star Wars animation series The Bad Batch and “If These Walls Could Sing” is an interesting musical documentary about 90 years of Abbey Road Studios. Subscribers can also look forward to “Welcome to Chippendales,” the scandalous true-crime series about the founder of the world’s largest stripper empire.

Disney+ also features Extraordinary from Killing Eve producers, the animated series Koala Man and two seasons of The Hardy Boys. Also see season 9 of NYPD Blue, season 4 of Atlanta and movies like Daredevil and Sanctuaries. As usual, National Geographic is also entering the race with a handful of new documentaries, such as those about the world’s black markets, extreme survival adventures and flag making.
