New York at risk of severe storm with possible destructive winds, hail and flooding

Redacción.- For this beginning of the week, severe weather is expected in New York, this as a frontal system approaches. The biggest threats with damaging winds, hail, flash flooding, dangerous lightning, and even a few isolated tornadoes, especially for Monday afternoon and evening.

Yes ok Monday morning it will likely start to rain and there will be isolated thunderstorms, severe weather not likely until late afternoon, around 4:00 PM.

Strong winds of over 60 mph and lightning will be the main threats, although hail and flash flooding could occur in the area.

There can also be isolated tornadoes, particularly in southern New Jersey.

Severe weather is a threat to the entire tri-state area, but will likely affect western and southern New Jersey, NBC New York reported.

Additionally, New York City, the Hudson Valley, and southwestern Connecticut are likely to experience the severe weather forecast for Monday.

The severe weather will not end this Monday, it is expected to stay for a few more days, returning on Tuesday afternoon.
