MIAMI.- The singer Christian Nodal aboard cmo las social networks have influenced their mental healthhighlighting that in the past, while he was going through a difficult personal situation, the comments and rumors that were brewing on the platforms about his life seriously affected him.
“I’m always in the press for personal reasons. I make music and I think I make very good music, so what interests me is that people like my music. Two and a half, three years ago, I hit rock bottom for the same reason, on social media,” he commented during his participation in the WiZink Center by Endesa podcast.
Although Nodal did not specify what he was experiencing, his followers conclude that the time lapse coincides with his breakup with Belinda, a singer and actress with whom he had a love affair that almost led to the altar, as the singer proposed marriage to her, but months later they announced their separation.
Despite much speculation, neither Belinda nor Christian Nodal have explained the reason that separated them.
Reactions to the rumors
In the podcast, Nodal explained that the situation led him to therapy, he had to step away for a while to heal, and he reflected on how he could maintain social media without letting what circulates on it affect him negatively.
“It took a lot of therapy… It took about a year to get over the depression and anxiety and very bad things that were happening, just because of that,” he added.
The singer said that this experience made him grow personally and help him face new moments without feeling overwhelmed.
“I think I’ve reached a very nice balance in life where, in reality, I don’t stop living because of what people say and I’m not interested in changing their opinion. I think it’s up to each person,” he said.
