On Friday 4 March last year, the son attacked the father in broad daylight in the car park. Here he allegedly stabbed his father repeatedly in the head, neck and body – and kicked him while he was lying on the ground.
The 35-year-old son has pleaded guilty to the murder. The verdict is now clear and the man will be sentenced to compulsory mental health care, defender Marius Wesenberg confirms to TV 2.

The man has a history of substance abuse and has previously been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

Was provoked
In addition to having killed the father, the son was also accused of violence against his stepmother, who was present during the actual murder.
The aggrieved woman has explained that the family initially had a good relationship with each other – but that this changed after the son accused of murder got to know another man.
– He said that this man had mystical powers and that he could talk to God, the aggrieved woman explained in court about the defendant.
The father had reacted to this man on several occasions. In a telephone conversation – one week before the murder – the father is said to have called this man a “son of a whore”. The 35-year-old reacted strongly to this, according to the stepmother’s explanation.
This phone call is said to have been the last conversation between father and son.
Wanted to kill his father several times
The son accused of murder has explained in court that he was provoked by the telephone conversation with his father and went to the shop to buy a knife. He then spent the night in a car outside his father’s residence to wait for him.
The next day, the 35-year-old followed his father and wife to Vestkanten shopping center and followed them.
– I was very determined. When they were on their way to the car after the shopping trip, I came up behind them. The first blow was in the neck.
The 35-year-old admitted during the trial that on several occasions in the past he had thought about killing his own father during his upbringing.
The son apologizes to the family for the murder of his father.
– No son should kill his father. I have to live with that for the rest of my life.
