Gerhard Struber’s time as coach of the New York Red Bulls is over. The US team and the Austrian trainer are amicably separating, according to the official statement from the US club. Struber’s assistant Bernd Eibler will also leave the club.

The 46-year-old has been the head coach of the MLS franchise since October 2020. In total, Struber was responsible for 89 competitive games on the sidelines for the New Yorkers. In the current season, the Red Bulls have only won one of nine games – not enough for the club leadership.
