NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is asking for help as it continues to search for a man suspected of beating a 75-year-old woman in Manhattan.

The incident took place on Saturday, June 10, at around 1:13 p.m., when the elderly woman was crossing the street in Avenue of the Americas and West 34th Street when the suspect approached him.

Without incident, the suspect started a dispute with the woman, who ended up pushing her to the ground and kicking her multiple times before leaving the scene.

The suspect was last seen traveling south on the Avenue of the Americas walking.

The 75-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mount Sinai West by emergency medical services in stable condition, according to the New York Police Department.

Police said the individual was last seen wearing a tan headband, dark-colored ripped jeans and gray sneakers.
