In Oberaurach (Haßberge district), a woman found her cat lying dead on the street on Monday (May 15, 2023). The police are now faced with several mysteries.
The owner found her cat around 8 a.m. lifeless on the street “Siebengute”, reports the Hassfurt Police Inspectorate.
Cause of death still unclear – police are looking for witnesses
It is currently unclear how the cat died. According to the initial investigation, the police assume that the cat was shot at with an airgun by a previously unknown person.
It is also unclear whether the place where the cat was found is also the crime scene. A possible motive for the crime is also not yet known.
The police are therefore looking for witness statements. The Hassfurt Police Inspectorate will take relevant information on 09521/927-0.
