Mexico City.- The federal government published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) the declaration of six of the 10 points that will make up the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.

These points seek to attract investment to build factories or industrial parks that were called by the authorities as poles of development, and that are located in Oaxaca and Veracruz.

Those that were made official today are: two from Oaxaca, in San Blas Atempa and Salina Cruz, in addition to four that are in Veracruz, such as Coatzacoalcos I, Coatzacoalcos II, Texispetec and San Juan Evangelista.

In each of the agreements, the economic characteristics of each location are disclosed, including the total area and various criteria such as communication and connectivity, as well as the educational institutions that it has.

The locations are promoted by the federal government, as part of the strategy of directing investments to the south of the country, and they will be awarded through public bidding.

Last Monday, Araceli García, head of the Legal Affairs Unit of the Ministry of Economy, assured during the presentation of the Corridor that the spaces already have indigenous consultation, so there would be no social problems, in addition to the fact that they are sustainable.

As of this week it is already possible to locate only the declaration of six of the 10 poles in the National Commission for Regulatory Improvement (Conamer), added García.
