After receiving raves from critics and fans around the world, HBO’s original series THE LAST OF US has been renewed for a second season. The production, created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, was the most successful launch of a first episode of a series on HBO Max, surpassing the premieres of A CASA DO DRAGÃO and EUPHORIA in the first 24 hours in Latin America.
Acclaimed also on social media, having been among the most commented subjects on Twitter during its debut. So far, the promotional videos for the first season already have more than 100 million views.
When will the second season of The Last of US be?
There is still no information about the release date of the second season. The news today was sent by the press office of HBO MAX to confirm that the team and the producer closed an agreement to contemplate the second season. Now there is the entire plot process, recordings and much more. The second season of The Last of US is expected to be released in 2024.

New episodes of the series premiere on Sundays at 11 pm on HBO Max and HBO. Fans can also enjoy The Last of Us Podcast, the series’ official podcast in which Troy Baker, who plays Joel in the video game, talks with series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann to delve deeper into the themes of each episode.
