MIAMI.- Olivia Munn has shared how her diagnosis of breast cancer the approach to Shannen Doherty. On social media, the actress She expressed her condolences and said she was affected, as the protagonist of the series Charmed was a great support during the process.

“I am absolutely heartbroken by the passing of Shannen Doherty. When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer I remembered how she bravely let the world into her journey and I reached out to her. We became instant friends, which I honestly couldn’t understand at times because seeing her in such a difficult situation made me feel like I was in awe of her. The performer referred to Doherty as one of her idols, and stressed that she was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

“We bonded over a shared battle and a desire to help other women. Looking back on the last message she sent me a couple of months ago, she asked me how I was doing and if she could do anything for me…”

Munn also said that Shannen faced her battle bravely, despite the ravages caused by the disease and the invasive treatment.

“True to form, Shannen was offering her support even though she was in the final stages of battling this horrible disease. Cancer is truly a fucking fear and Shannen faced it with such dignity, strength and grace,” she wrote.

Finally, Olivia sent her condolences to the actress’s mother.

“I’m sending all my love to her mother, who was her best friend, hero and champion every step of the way. Fly so high, my friend.”

Diagnosis

In February, actress Olivia Munn revealed that she had been quietly battling breast cancer for a year, which not only required her to undergo different treatments and four surgeries, but also a double mastectomy and a medically induced menopause.

The statement was made a few days after the 96th edition of the Oscar Awards, which he attended without raising any suspicions about what had been going on.

Along with a statement, Munn posted a series of photos on the social network in which she can be seen wearing a hospital gown in different settings. She also posted a video in which she can be seen crying in a room, while a doctor offered her support and tried to calm her down.
