In the course of his extension at Borussia Mönchengladbach, Jan Olschowsky never specifically considered offers from other clubs. “We went into the talks fairly, so we didn’t do other things at the same time. Of course there were offers, certainly good offers, but we didn’t go into that in detail.”, said the Foals’ goalkeeper in an interview with ‘Transfermarkt.de’. Last week, the 21-year-old extended his contract in Mönchengladbach until 2027.
Olschowsky continues: “You talk to other clubs, even before the two games in November. You don’t always know exactly what’s going to happen in summer. Of course you have to look at something else, that’s quite normal. But as soon as the signal came from Gladbach that they wanted to continue with me and extend it in the long term, it was also clear to me that I would focus 100 percent on that.” However, he does not want to rule out the possibility that he will leave his club again, at least on loan: “Of course, these are all things that can happen. To be honest, I’m not really thinking about it at the moment.”
