On July 4, Miami-Dade Transit will operate on a reduced schedule

MIAMI.- Miami-Dade County announces that all government offices will be closed on July 4 in celebration of Independence and the founding of the United States of America in 1776. The transportation system will operate on a reduced schedule.

All county public libraries and pet adoption centers will also remain closed.

The county’s transportation system will operate on a reduced schedule, the same schedule it operates on weekends. Administrative offices of the Department of Transportation and Public Works and customer service offices will not be closed.

The Department of Solid Waste will not collect trash in unincorporated areas and facilities will be closed. Recycling services will operate on July 4.
