There will be a new episode on January 1, 2023. The scene of the crime is in Cologne and viewers can rely on “protective measures” with the Inspectors Ballauf and Schenk are happy!

Freddy Schenk ( Dietmar Bär) is concerned. An arson attack was carried out on the Persian restaurant “Wunderlampe”, which belongs to his daughter Sonja. Investigators find a charred body in the ash heap. Could this be the arsonist himself?
Together with his loyal colleague Max Ballauf ( Klaus J. Behrendt) the worried father gets to work. Since their apartment is directly above the burnt restaurant, Sonja, her partner Karim and their teenage daughter Frida are put in a shelter. Schenk is concerned because a neo-Nazi torchlight march took place on the evening of the fire. Does that have anything to do with the fire in the “miracle lamp”?
But the longer the investigation drags on, the more the investigators realize that they have underestimated the depth of the dependency relationships and power structures in the Cologne gastronomy scene. Debtors, creditors, family members, enemies – all actors seem to be interconnected in complex ways. Will Schenk and Ballauf crack the riddle of the “miracle lamp”?
