First in Sainte-Maxime (Var), an accident took place between a heavy goods vehicle and a minibus. On board, eight teenagers and a driver collided violently on a Var highway. The young people, originally from Tours, went to the Alpes-Maritimes to participate in a football tournament. Nine people were injured. Hearing the news, the club’s coach was very touched. Plus 20% increase in attendance for the Isola 2000 resort
In Isola (Alpes-Maritimes), it’s the last weekend to slide on the ski slopes. The Isola 2000 resort is full after a very good season. “I’m really impressed, the slopes are exceptional. Yesterday we even had powder snow”, smiles a skier. This year, the station experienced a 20% increase in attendance. Still in the south, in Cannes, the Posidonia operation was set up. These sea grasses, washed up on the coast, have been returned to the seabed to help promote biodiversity. Nicknamed the green lung of the Mediterranean, Posidonia stores carbon and releases oxygen.
