One woman is fatally shot and another is in critical condition in what appears to be an attempted murder-suicide early Friday in Manhattan.
Shots were heard outside 519 East 88th Street on the Upper East Side shortly before 9 a.m.
When authorities arrived, they found two women inside a car with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other is in critical condition.
A four-year-old boy was found unharmed in the car.
Mayor Eric Adams approached the scene of the shooting.
Gracie Mansion, the mayor’s residence, is located one block from the scene.
Police are investigating the incident.
