A suspicious vehicle at Düsseldorf Airport caused a police operation on Sunday evening. Approaches to the airport were blocked.
Because of an indication of a suspicious vehicle in a parking garage, the police have moved out to an operation at Düsseldorf Airport. A vehicle in parking garage P2 is being examined, said a spokesman on Sunday evening. “The airport is a sensitive security area, which is why we are very sensitive to this information and take a very close look at the vehicle.”
Effects on traffic at Dusseldorf Airport
The police did not provide any further information about the suspect vehicle.
The police operation had an impact on traffic: the access roads to departures and arrivals at the airport were closed, the police reported on Twitter in the evening. (dpa)
