Overwatch 2 story missions will arrive as part of several content packs.
After announcing a few weeks ago that Overwatch 2’s hero mode was permanently cancelled, during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 celebration, Blizzard showed the first of the story missions which will replace the studio’s original idea during Season 6 of the game, Invasion. Is about multiplayer matches with a new narrative element through which Blizzard hopes to continue expanding the lore of the Overwatch universe, and we already know what price They will have these missions.
During the Xbox event, no more details about these story missions were shared, now we know that they will be paid and that they can be purchased in different packs with other contents. Blizzard will host a stream next June 21 to specify all the information.
Everything We Know About Overwatch 2’s Story Missions So Far
As a Blizzard representative told the magazine Forbesthese Overwatch 2 story missions that will arrive in season 6, Invasion, they will not be free, although they can continue to be purchased once the season is over. To be able to access these missions you will have to get one of the following content packs:
- Invasion Pack: Includes all three story missions for the season, 1,000 Overwatch Coins, a new Legendary skin for Sojourn, and permanent access to the hero after the story ends. Its price will be 15 dollars.
- Ultimate Invasion Pack: Includes all of the above, the Null Sector Premium Battle Pass and 20 Tier Skips, 2,000 Overwatch Coins, and two more Legendary skins for Cassidy and Kiriko. Its price will be 40 dollars.
We will have to be attentive to that direct from Blizzard on the next 21st to know new details of these story missions that replace the canceled hero mode, while we expect news of the first Diablo IV post-launch content for the coming weeks.
