The former mayor of La Plata, Pablo Bruera, got a new job away from politics: He is an advisor to soccer players, coaches and representatives and gives training sessions through Meet and Instagram to everyone.
The former communal chief is the face of “Football Rights”a legal study specialized in sports law and whose warhorse are the courses to become “FIFA Agent”that is, in representatives of soccer players.
Gone seems to have been the failed management of social networks that he showed in the tragic flood of April 2, 2013, when he published a tweet assuring that “I was touring the evacuation centers” while on vacation in Brazil. At that time, the then mayor assured that this post had been “a communication error” from your computer and deleted it. Unlike then, he is now very confident speaking in front of the camera and explaining how to help players, coaches and representatives.
Although Bruera has been carrying out this activity since 2019, it was only last year that he began to regularly upload videos in which he himself explained in detail, for example, the new FIFA regulations or how to obtain a player’s free pass or how to carry out the transfer international youth soccer team, plus the wide range of training and courses offered by his studio, which also has its own channel on YouTube where he gives “international talks”.
“Are you a soccer player and you were fired without just cause?” Says a post in neutral Spanish that facilitates a contact to help with legal issues. “Do you need to contract a player?” Bruera asks on another board. He also offers intensive online courses to become “a successful soccer agent” at a mega-bargain price of $60 – down from the original $240 – with “limited seats.”
Bruera had to go into exile from politics in 2015, after the people of La Plata punished him at the polls and charged him for the flood that left 89 people dead and thousands of evacuees as a painful result. The neighbors did not forgive him for the lie. In 2021, he reappeared on the streets of the city to campaign for the then candidate for national deputy Victoria Tolosa Paz and for her candidate for councilor, Guillermo Escudero, but he was not well received by the people and he disappeared from the political arena again. .
