Through a speech given in the capital of Egypt, the president of Palestine, Mahmud Abbasexplained that he is going to request the incorporation as a full member of the UN with the aim of guaranteeing the protection of the solution proposed by the international community to the conflict with Israel.

Since 2012 that the country is a non-member observer state of the UN by virtue of a resolution of the General Assembly, for which reason they maintain the hope that “the Security Council will consider favorably the request presented in 2011 by the State of Palestine for its admission as a full member of the United Nations”.
At the same time, according to the AFP agency, the president said that the world must “protect” the Palestinian people to “put an end to Israeli aggression” and “unilateral actions”.
