Several demonstrations in the provinces brought together a little more people on Saturday than those on Tuesday, but less than the first two days of mobilization, according to the first figures from the authorities, which diverge more and more from those of the unions.

The burst is especially visible in medium-sized towns, such as Roanne (Loire) where the police counted 6,000 demonstrators, against 3,000 on Tuesday. Same trend in Périgueux, where 5,200 people marched against 3,700 four days earlier. Or even in Guéret, with 4,000 participants against 2,900 at the start of the week.

The gauge remained however below the levels recorded at the start of the social movement, as in Pau (8,500 against 14,000 on January 19 and 31) and Angoulême (5,000 against 9,000 at most). Ditto in Toulouse, where the prefecture counted 25,000 demonstrators. But the CGT counted 100,000, a difference of one to four, more marked than in previous days.
