Players have been unable to log into their Fortnite account since the latest maintenance update was released earlier today.
Given the Fortnite It’s a game that’s been around for so long, it requires constant updates to make sure it stays fresh with new content.
For a while, community members have been pleading with the developers to remove the Shock Hammer, as it was too buggy, making it too powerful and unbalanced to stay in the game.
So, to solve this problem, Epic Games removed Shock Hammer from the game and released a maintenance patch to get it fully fixed again.
The maintenance patch was released and brought back the controversial Shock Hammer, but unfortunately, it also made some players unable to log into their accounts.
The fans of Fortnite have been met with a message that said nothing except “Checking Epic Services Queue” and that it would take about an hour to log in and back into the game.
How to solve the login problem in Fortnite:
If you are encountering the unknown login error in Fortnite, the first thing you should do is wait 30 seconds and then try to log in once more. It might just be a fluke, and trying to connect again might fix it without further steps.
If you try to connect again after waiting and you still can’t access the game, please exit Fortnite. Now, go one step further and close your launcher if you are on PC and restart your computer or console. It is very possible that a complete reboot will remove the possible block you had and you will be able to connect.
If after rebooting you still get the same error, perform a reboot on your router or modem. This shouldn’t take too long, but make sure your internet connection is back up before trying to connect to the Fortnite servers again.
If you’ve tried all of this and still can’t connect, it may be wise to wait a while before trying again. In the end, you should be able to connect again.
