THE Xiaomi is preparing to announce a new smartphone: the POCO X5 Pro 5G. This model, which will arrive as a natural successor to the POCO X4 Pro 5Glaunched in 2022, was the subject of a leak that revealed its main specifications and some real images, making it very clear the design chosen by the Chinese manufacturer, which, by the way, will have minor changes compared to the previous generation.
What to expect from the POCO X5 Pro 5G
The images, which show the POCO X5 Pro 5G in yellow, reveal the presence of a rectangular module that houses three cameras arranged in a different way from the pattern adopted in last year’s model. Other than that, the construction of the device is similar to its predecessor, including the small “hole” centered in the screen for the front camera.
The next intermediary PIT should bring an AMOLED display with Full HD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate – the size is still unknown. Inside, the Snapdragon 778G processor is expected, an improvement over the Snapdragon 695 of the POCO X4 Pro 5Gcombined with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The device should keep the main camera of 108 megapixels from the previous model and bring two more sensors: a wide-angle and a macro. The battery delivers 5,000 mAh with support for fast charging at 67 watts, the same power found in the predecessor. Finally, compatibility with NFC and stereo speakers is expected.
There is still no official information about the release date of the POCO X5 Pro 5Gbut some leaks suggest that the Xiaomi will hold a presentation event in the last week of this month. Anyway, let’s wait to confirm (or not) all of this.
