The Cuban police returned a backpack with almost a thousand dollars and more than 500 euros to a US citizen who had left it forgotten at the airport, reported a pro-government profile on Facebook.
According to a publication on the “Heroes in Blue in Cuba” profile, dedicated to extolling the work of the Cuban police, one of its officers found the bag in the luggage cart at the exit of Terminal 2.
“Inside it contained 920 dollars, 505 euros, a laptop, a cell phone with its charger, credit cards, driver’s license, passport, car and home keys, as well as medicines and other belongings,” the information details. .
The tourist, identified as Rudolph Marshall and a resident of the United States, said he thought he had left the backpack inside the airport, but forgot it on a luggage cart outside the facility.
At that moment she was found by the PNR officer and after complying with the protocols, he transferred her to the police unit.
Marshall arrived shortly after to report the loss of the backpack and the officers told him that they had it in their possession.
The note states that the American “wrote a letter in his own handwriting in gratitude, and also showed everyone a photo of him together with Fidel Castro Ruz in the same police unit.”
