Having your own pool in the garden is becoming increasingly popular. It offers refreshment and relaxation on hot days. Such pools are often refilled in the spring.
The filling then usually takes place via the public water supply network. If a large number of private pools are filled within a small area at the same time, this represents a particular burden on the public water supply. In order to ensure a secure drinking water supply, the swimming pool should therefore be filled in consultation with the water supplier.
We therefore ask you to observe the following procedure when filling the pool via the public water supply network of the city of Hohenems:
• Please contact Stadtwerke Hohenems beforehand in order to agree on when the pool should be filled.
• The pool must be filled via the in-house water pipe. Taking water from hydrants is not permitted for private individuals and is only permitted in certain exceptional cases with the prior consent of the municipal utility and under professional supervision.
• The filling should take place at night to avoid additional consumption peaks during the day.
