The president of the Professional Football League, Abdelkrim Medouar, postponed the JSK-USMA match just 24 hours after a “clarification” addressed to the clubs affected by delayed matches. The first man at the LFP has just lost his credibility again.
Initially scheduled for today April 16 at 10 p.m., the JSK-USMA match, on behalf of the update of the 18th day of Ligue 1 Mobilis, has been postponed. The news had fallen on the evening of last Friday. And this, “following the referenced correspondence N ° 1666/2023 emanating from Mr. the Wali of Tizi Ouzou relating to the postponement of the said match”. The LFP justified its decision.
And yet, just 24 hours before, the structure in Abdelkrim Medouar sent a “clarification” to the clubs concerned by late matches. Indeed, she indicated that she “cannot give a favorable response to the requests for postponement”. And this because of the “significant accumulation of late matches due to the participation of Algerian clubs in the various African competitions. The heavy schedule of matches until the end of the season and the need to finish the championship within the set deadlines. And finally, the request expressed by the members of the general assembly during the last ordinary general assembly of the LFP and the correspondence of the clubs to clear the late matches before resuming the championship in order to preserve sports ethics ”.

When the wali of Tizi-Ouzou discredits Medouar
According to information relayed by certain media, the supporters of the JSK would have threatened to express their anger to denounce the vicious arbitration of which their favorite team is the victim. This would be the reason why the wali of Tizi-Ouzou requested the postponement of the JSK-USMA match.
And after “consultations”, the LFP offered the unstoppable solution so that the match did not take place. That is to say, the wali decrees the impossibility of scheduling the match in question on the territory of the wilaya. A scenario in front of which nobody has to complain as the local public authority has all the latitude to give or not the authorizations relating thereto to the organization of any activity on its territory. Even the FAF couldn’t help it.
It must be said that Abdelkrim Medouar perhaps had better things to do than venture out and proclaim the inviolability of sports ethics by respecting the calendar. A “clumsiness” that the first responsible for the League will pay for his credibility.

The CRB shows its dissatisfaction
The postponement of the match of the JSK-USMA match caused dissatisfaction. Indeed, the CRB challenged the decision to maintain its match against the MCO, insofar as it is also involved in the African Champions League. Worse still, the Chabab will travel 400klm to the city of El-Bahia, before receiving the South African representative Mamelodi Sundowns on Friday.
For the Belouizdadis, their team had priority for the postponement. But according to reports, the Hamraoua exerted pressure so that the LFP does not postpone the game. They would certainly like to take advantage of the physical condition of the CRB players, who have played three matches in one week, to hope to win the match and thus continue their rescue mission.
