A drunk driver caught police officers on Saturday night Bornstedt Field attacked. As the police announced on Monday, a witness informed the police at around 1 a.m. that an Opel had driven into the track bed of the tram line on Kiepenheuerallee. The police officers then found the 28-year-old driver of the Opel on site. A test found the man had an alcohol level of 1.72 per mille.

During the traffic accident recording, the accused suddenly punched and kicked the police officers and spat on them. The drunk man had to be fixed according to the police. Following be him blood drawn for evidence and further travel was prohibited.
