Personnel from the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) seized a shipment of more than 66 thousand kilos of bovine leather, in a procedure carried out in the town of Puerto Rico.

According to what was reported by official sources of the Force, the operation occurred when a PNA patrol, in which specialized personnel from the Albatros Group participated, detected on the coast, and inside an abandoned boat at kilometer 1732 from the Paraná River, a large quantity of leather of illegal origin.

When counting it, it was found that there were 1,673 units of the aforementioned merchandise, whose weight exceeds 66 tons.

With the intervention of the Prosecutor’s Office and the Federal Court of Oberá and SENASA, the entire shipment, valued at more than 30 million pesos, was seized, the spokesmen added.
