After a second place in the African Nations Championship, it’s time for the reward for the locals of Algeria. Indeed, at the end of the meeting of the Federal Bureau of the Algerian Football Federation, the amount of the bonus reserved for the players of the Algeria A ‘team was fixed.
The men of the Algerian coach, Madjid Bougherra, will benefit from a check for 1 million dinars each (i.e. 100 million cents) as well as for all the members of the staff, technical and medical.
In the same vein, and following the second place on the podium that the local Fennecs obtained, the Confederation of African Football paid the sum of 800 thousand dollars to the FAF.
A sum that is part of the scale that the African body has established to reward the selections that have participated in the most successful CHAN tournament in the history of the competition.
The lucky winner of the 7th edition of CHAN, Senegal, obtained 2 million dollars from CAF. A sum that has increased from the 1.5 million dollars that the winner of the previous edition had had.
In its press release, the Confederation of African Football announced that the amount of bonuses for this edition of CHAN has increased by 60% from 5.45 million dollars to 7.9 million dollars.
Bonus for local players after second place at CHAN: a meager amount?
Following the announcement of the amount of the bonus of the local Algerian players after their almost perfect adventure during the CHAN 2022, the amount that the FAF granted to the players of the coach, Madjid Bougherra, was compared to the other amounts that selections participating in the CHAN 2022 cashed in their respective countries.
Indeed, we learn that the players of the Senegalese team received a bonus of around 15,256 euros each. A sum of around 220 million cents (bank rate).
This reward was accompanied by another gift for each of the players of the local selection of Senegal. Thus, the latter were granted a plot of land of 500 m² for each player in a location not far from the capital, Dakar.
For their part, the players of the Madagascar team, 3rd in the African Nations Championship, were rewarded with a check for around 500 million centimes.
