Chihuahua. – In order to eradicate fraud against agricultural producers, the PAN representative, Luis Aguilar, announced that he will present an initiative in the State Congress, especially for the protection of small producers who make verbal agreements.

The representative of District 20, explained that these verbal agreements are carried out regularly, and consist of the fact that the buyers of the products pay a first part when delivering them, and the second, weeks or months later.

The problem, he said, is that said payment is never made by the buyer, a situation that affects the economy of farmers, and their production capacity for the following year, since they end up without capital.

The initiative will contemplate an increase in fines and penalties against those who carry out this type of fraud, to seek to avoid this situation in the first instance and then eliminate these practices that affect small producers in the central south region of the State.

Aguilar Lozoya mentioned that this bill will soon be presented, and he himself will provide more information to all citizens so that they can know the mechanics that would be applied to guarantee payments.
