Lisa Marie Presley was nine when her famous father, rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, died in 1977 at the age of 42. Now fate has struck mercilessly at her too.

Lisa Marie Presley was found unresponsive Thursday morning at her home in Calabasas, California, by a housekeeper. Her ex-husband Danny Keough (58), who also lives on the property, is said to have tried to revive her – until the ambulance came. This one got her heart beating again, like “TMZ” reported. The 54-year-old was then taken to a clinic by ambulance, where she was put into a coma. But she didn’t survive.

“It is with a heavy heart that I share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” her mother, Priscilla, said. “She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

Lisa Marie leaves behind three children: daughter Riley (33) and twins Finley and Harper (14). Her fourth child, her son Benjamin, took his own life in 2020 at the age of 27.

In her last Instagram post before her death, Lisa Marie Presley shared a link to one last August Essay she wrote for the US magazine “People”. “I wrote a piece about grief,” she posted to mark National Grief Awareness Day. Hoping it will “help in some way” for mourners.

In the article, she wrote long and detailed her pain at the loss of her son from the soul. “The grief does not stop or go away in any way, even a year or years after the loss,” says Lisa Marie in her essay. “Grief is something you have to carry with you for the rest of your life. You can’t ‘get over it’. (…) Nothing, absolutely NOTHING can relieve the pain.”

Two days before her death, Lisa Marie Presley was still seen in public. On Tuesday evening, she attended the Golden Globes Gala with Mama Priscilla in Beverly Hills. There, US actor Austin Butler (31) was honored for his title role in the film “Elvis” as best male actor in a drama.
