In a new program soon to air, M6 offers to take an interest in the professional life of farmers by helping them to diversify their activity. To embody it, the channel bet on a known face but that we did not necessarily expect in this area.
The agricultural world, we know well, on M6. Since 2005, the channel has offered to break the celibacy of farmers thanks to Love is in the meadow. Very invested in the field, Karine Le Marchand has even embarked on the production of a major documentary tracing a hundred years of agriculture through six families, including, perhaps, a figure in the rural dating program. But to see it, you will still need a little patience since no date has been announced and that long-term filming began last summer. In the meantime, M6 is launching very soon Let’s help our farms, a brand new program dedicated to the working life of farmers. To embody it, the Six put on a face well known to its viewers but, it must be admitted, that we did not necessarily expect in this register since it is Mary Portolano.
Let’s help our farms : what is the new M6 program about?
This magazine goes to meet two families of farmers who want to develop their farm and get their heads above water. After having collected their stories – sometimes very hard -, Marie Portolano entrusts the participants to an expert who is himself a farmer who will help them carry out their project For many months. A program which therefore gives pride of place to coaching, like other strong programs on the channel such as Kitchen nightmare, Work assignment or House for sale.

Agriculture, a promising theme on television?
Broadcast on January 31 and February 6, the two evenings devoted to portraits of farmers from season 18 of Love is in the meadow brought together an average of 3.17 million curious people. A good omen for the rest of the season. No wonder other channels are interested in the subject. Thus, from Thursday March 9, RMC Story will offer an episode of its new documentary series every week in prime time, Farm families. Among the participants, you will find in particular… former participants of Love is in the meadowlike Claire and Sébastien (season 10), Thierry “rogue of fate” (seasons 10 and 17), Jérôme and Lucile (season 17), Franck (season 16), Guillaume and Tom (season 17).
