On the occasion of international day for freedom of expressionPresident Abdelmadjid Tebboune held a meeting with national media representatives.
Tebboune considered that the rank of Algeria at the international level in the field of freedom of the press should be returned to United Nations agencies.

The Head of State affirmed that the organization “ Reporters Without Borders does not reach the international dimension which allows it to assess the situation of freedoms and the press in Algeria.
Regarding international affairs, Tebboune supported Syria’s right to regain its seat in the League of Arab States as a founding member.

The president said: Syria cannot be isolated from its Arab environment “. He added: “We hope that the state of fragmentation among the Arabs will endso that they can regain their position of international strength within the framework of a new international order”.
