The Mainz-based credit insurer Coface, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in Germany in 2023, is organizing the 16th Coface Congress on May 4th, one of the leading risk management events in Germany. The conference is aimed at those responsible for exports from medium-sized and large companies, financing and risk experts, journalists and representatives of associations and banks. Keynote speakers are the war reporter and journalist Dr. Antonia Rados and futurologist Tristan Horx. Participation is free.
The motto of the event is 2023 “Epochal break – economic risks in the age of scarcity, war and crises” and will be broadcast live from Hall 45 in Mainz on Thursday, May 4, 2023. Start: 10:00 a.m.
At the latest with the outbreak of war in Ukraine, a new geopolitical era has dawned, not only in Europe. Even before the war, the corona pandemic caused a massive upheaval. A toxic mix of risks such as inflation, disrupted supply chains, the energy crisis, a shortage of skilled workers and climate change requires a radical rethink from people, organizations and companies.
Are crises and wars the new normal? Is globalization over? What risks do companies expect in the coming years? What do we learn from the current crises and how will we adapt to the new age in society and the economy in the future? What consequences do companies have to draw now in order to survive in the market and to overcome the current crises? The hybrid Coface Congress 2023 is looking for answers to these and other questions.
Also present are energy expert Dr. Carsten Rolle (BDI), entrepreneur Dr. Alexandra Kohlmann (Rowe Mineralölwerk GmbH), foreign trade expert Eckart von Unger (GTAI) and many other business and association experts. The event will again be moderated by TV journalist Isabelle Körner (n-tv).
