Prince Harry’s TV interview should give the British broadcaster ITV dream ratings. But the interest in Harry’s revelations seems to be limited.

According to mirror.co.uk tuned in to just 4.1 million viewers in the UK as Prince Harry answered Tom Bradby’s questions.

So “Harry – The Interview” was not even the ratings winner, but had to give way to the drama series “Happy Valley”, which was running at the same time on the BBC. The British Mirror refers to figures from the Broadcasters Audience Research Boards (BARB) which measured 5.25 million viewers in the UK tuned in to the new episode of Season 3 of Happy Valley. A slap in the face for Prince Harry – and a major disappointment for broadcaster ITV.

Prince Harry’s memoirs go on sale

On January 10, 2023, Prince Harry’s memoir entitled “Spare” will be published by Penguin Random House. Even the title made headlines in advance. It’s a reference to the phrase “the heir and the spare.” As the younger brother of Prince William, heir to the throne, Harry has been on the bench all his life. Now there are fears that Prince Harry will settle accounts with the British royal family.

Prince Harry’s “Reserve” Talk: Oprah’s interview with Harry and Meghan saw three times as many viewers

The interest of the British in their former favorite Prince Harry seems to have decreased significantly. It was very different two years ago. And around 400,000 viewers watched the “Celebrity Special” on Prince Harry’s interview at 11:15 p.m. on Vox. It remains to be seen how well Prince Harry’s memoir “Reserve” actually sells.
