The prince henry claims in his highly anticipated memoir that his brother, Prince William physically and verbally attacked him during a furious argument over their deteriorating relationship, The Guardian newspaper reported on Thursday.
The newspaper said it got a advance copy of the book, ‘Spare’ (‘Spare: In the shade’, in Spanish) that will be published next week.
He notes that Enrique recounts a 2019 fight at his home in the kensington palacein which Guillermo allegedly called Enrique’s wife, the exactriz Meghan Markle, “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”. Enrique claims Guillermo grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and broke his collar before pulling him down, the newspaper said.
“I fell on the dog’s bowl, which broke under my back, the pieces cut me,” they quote the book. “I lay there for a moment, in a daze, then I stood up and told him to go away.”

Enrique said he suffered “scratches and bruises” as a result of the fight. Guillermo later apologized, the excerpt says.
Separately, celebrity site Page Six reported that the book alleges that Guillermo and his now-wife Catalina encouraged Enrique to wear a Nazi uniform at a 2005 costume party. Enrique has apologized on several occasions and has described the decision as one of the biggest mistakes of his life.
Harry claimed that he was advised by his brother and sister-in-law to wear that costume.
Neither Buckingham Palace, which represents the King Charles IIINeither William’s office at Kensington Palace has commented on these claims.

The book also explains the reasons for its English title ‘Spare’, which means spare in Spanish, said The Guardian. The newspaper noted that Harry remembers his father’s alleged words to his mother, Princess Diana, on the day he was born: “Wonderful! Now you have given me an heir and a spare, my work is done.”
Although William was destined from birth to be king, Henry, who is fifth in line to the throne behind his brother and William’s three sons, apparently often struggles with the more ambiguous role of “spare.” He served nearly a decade in the British Army, years he has said were his happiest, before assuming full-time royal duties in 2015.
