Prodigies: who won the 9th season of the France 2 competition?

The suspense is lifted! The jury of the 9th edition of wonders presented by Faustine Bollaert on France 2 has delivered its verdict. Which young artist won the votes of his illustrious elders? Here is the answer !

Last week, wonders selected nine candidates among the fifteen present for its grand finale. After two hours of healthy competition, the jury first announced the winners of each category. Only one of these three titled could hope win the title of Prodigies, a scholarship of 10,000 euros and an album, according to the sacred category. We had to be patient to finally know the name of the person who will succeed clarinettist Simon Lopez, last year’s winner.

Prodigies 2022 : an eclectic podium

Before the announcement of the big winner and a last public appearance for the top three, each member of the jury announced who ranked at the top of the podium in their category. SingingJulie Fuchs offered victory to Matt, 13 years old whose tenor voice had charmed the judges. In danceMarie-Claude Pietragalla selected Sasha, 12 years old, his favorite from the semi-final. Finally, Gautier Capuçon offered first place to the violinist Sora, 9 years old, in the instrument category, whose virtuosity for his young age amazed the audience. Before the name of the winner is revealed, all three present their proposed performance again during the semi-final. It was only after this final performance that Faustine Bollaert, host of wonders since the 2021 edition, has opened the envelope containing the result.

No untenable suspense for this program which knows how to spare the nerves of its young participants. Facing an impatient public, Faustine Bollaert announces the verdict: Sacha, the 12-year-old dancer, wins the 2022 competition of wonders. She is only the second dancer, in nine years, to be titled. Before her, only Melvin had managed to rise to first place, all categories combined, in 2015, during the second edition of the France 2 competition. The young Perpignan woman could not contain her emotion; a disturbance quickly erased thanks to the congratulations sent by his classmates.
