The nerdy c’t handicrafts are now even more couch-friendly: Many of our articles with self-construction projects have videos that make you want to, show difficult areas and give tips on how to make the replica even easier. So far, they have appeared on YouTube in the Heise online workshop playlist. But you couldn’t subscribe to it, which is why we’re moving to a new channel called “Projec’te” move.

Hobby craft expert Pina Merkert takes you in the videos to the c’t workshops in the publishing house and in the home office. Everything is included, from self-built smart home sensors with ESP32 to specially developed test equipment with Arduino and gardening robots with Raspberry Pi. We not only want to show what we build, but also how and where we build. And we share our knowledge and experience.

Above all, we want to make you want to build all the technology yourself that companies don’t manufacture. Not only does it solve very individual everyday problems, it is also usually more sustainable than mass-produced disposable products. Screwing, soldering and repairing can and should be fun and we want to provide inspiration that you can consume comfortably from the couch.
