The three free PS Plus games for January 2023 will be available within hours. Be careful though, some of them are huge. Here is the weight needed for each of them.

The new free PS Plus games of January 2023 are coming very soon. Sony has decided to hit hard to get the year off to a good start. Between a very popular independent game, a Star Wars adaptation that caused a stir and an MMORPG from one of Bethesda’s biggest licenses, players will have plenty to do. But with such games, how much space will it take on your PS5 or PS4 to install them all? We have the answer.

Weight of January 2023 PS Plus games revealed

The PS Plus will start on the hats of wheels. Subscribers will be able to download from January 3, until February 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. French time, three new games. On the program, therefore, Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Fallout 76 and Axiom Verge 2. Three popular titles in their own way and some of them will require you to free up a lot of space on your hard drive. Unsurprisingly, Axiom Verge will be a featherweight compared to the other two productions which will take up a lot of space, Fallout 76 being the most enormous. The PlayStation Game Size Twitter account has indeed revealed the weight of each free PS Plus game of January 2023 on each console:

  • Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order : 47.274 GB on PS5 and 45.444 GB on PS4
  • Fallout 76 : 74.997 GB on PS4
  • Axiom Verge 2 : about 250 MB on PS5 and 300 MB on PS4

In total, you will therefore need a minimum of 120 GB free on your PS5 or PS4 to be able to try all the free PS Plus games of the month. By way of comparison, those of December barely required 100 GB of space on your machine, Mass Effect Legendary Edition being very greedy. Note in passing that Fallout 76 does not have a native version on PS5. It will be imperative to download the PS4 version on its state-of-the-art console to enjoy it.
