The French big club PSG is in an open conflict with Lionel Messi. The Argentine attacking star went to Saudi Arabia without permission and PSG responded by suspending him.
Lionel Messi is a tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia and traveled to the country after PSG’s loss to Lorient at the weekend. PSG’s club management had not given the trip their blessing and therefore made the decision to suspend him.

According to some French media, including RMC, Messi is suspended without pay for two weeks. The news agency AFP states that the suspension will only last for a few days.
If he is suspended for two weeks, he will miss PSG’s league games against Troyes on Sunday and against Ajaccio on May 13.
Messi’s contract with PSG expires after this season. The French sports newspaper L’Equipe writes that he is not interested in extending his contract.
