Ogilvy announced today that Rafael Reina has been appointed Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Mexico and Miami. In his new position, Rafael will be responsible for defining and executing the creative strategy for both markets. The arrival of Rafael Reina reaffirms Ogilvy’s commitment to continue developing its leadership in the region, with the best creative talent and capabilities to provide business solutions to its clients. Rafael will report to Verónica Hernández, CEO of Ogilvy Mexico & Miami.

Rafael played a key role in that success from his role as CCO of Ogilvy’s Puerto Rico office. There he helped transform the agency with innovative and impactful ideas for clients at the intersection of creativity, data and technology.

For nearly two decades, Rafael has held positions at agencies including Publicis, Leo Burnett, Proximity, and Digitas. Rafael’s fascination with technology and passion for creativity was evident early in his career, as he served as an art director for a software and video game development agency. He has collaborated with important brands such as Burger King, Direct TV, Falabella, Coca-Cola, AB InBev, Scotiabank, Kia Motors, Visa, Avianca, DHL, Pepsi, Special Olympics and the Red Cross, among others. His work has been recognized at major festivals, including Cannes Lions, New York Festival, Clio Awards, FIAP, London Festival, Effie, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Youtube Awards and Webby Awards. He won the first Grand Prix in Cannes for Colombia, his homeland; and the first Gold in Mobile, among other several lions for Puerto Rico.
