A new meeting point for film enthusiasts is the Rankweil cinema Monday for seniors. From January to June, a selected film is shown once a month on Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the old cinema in Rankweil.

Then we go together to the Tafelspitz restaurant to chat over a drink and appetizers about what we have seen.

The film series will kick off on Monday, January 16, with the film “Elvis” (USA, AUS 2022): A biopic about the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll with Austin Butler as Elvis and Oscar winner Tom Hanks as his seedy manager .

On Monday, February 20, “I’ve never been to New York” is on the program and on Monday, March 20, there’s the turbulent comedy “Butterflies in my Ear”. It continues with the “Little Witch” – a film for grandparents and their grandchildren – on Monday, April 17th. The finale will be “The Forgetfulness of the Squirrel” on Monday May 15th and “Murder in St. Tropez” on Monday June 19th.

The contribution per film is 9.50 euros including a drink and appetizers in the Tafelspitz restaurant. More information is available at www.rankweil.at/veranstaltungen/kino-montag. Please register on T +43 5522 405 1125 or [email protected].

The cinema Monday is part of the series of events “Well and good – getting older in Rankweil” and expands the offer for seniors, which Rankweil already received the federal award as a “senior-friendly community” in 2014. Cinema Monday is offered by the market town of Rankweil in cooperation with the senior citizens’ advisory board and the old cinema in Rankweil.
