Mexico City:- To its great list of hits and Spanish pop classics, OV7 adds a new song: “Quédate”.

The song, produced by Aureo Baqueiro and co-written by Paty Cantú and Ángela Dávalos, is released today, some 10 years after the group released “Tenemos Un Secreto”, their previous studio release.

“It had to be like this: a forceful, powerful song, full of intensity, and that means a lot in these times, in moments in which we know that love can destroy you, but you have to live it to learn and to grow and to reinvent yourself” , explained Lidia Ávila in an interview.

The lyrics of “Stay” reflect on romance and invite to build a story together, even knowing that in the end there may be destruction and disappointment.

“We are always learning, in all types of relationships, at all types of moments, we are learning, and we are convinced that those who have followed us will always feel identified with what we have, and that there will be new generations that will get to know us, that will know more about us. “Oscar Schwebel said.

Erika Zaba, Ari Borovoy, Lidia Ávila, M’Balia Marichal, Oscar Schwebel, Kalimba and Mariana Ocho still have half a year left working together for the TREINTA tour, since in addition to the dates they have scheduled in Mexico, they will travel to USA.

After the success they have accumulated in the National Auditorium, they will return to the venue on April 29 and 30 to celebrate their 34 years as a group, a time that encompasses from when they were summoned and formed as Onda Vaselina to the present date.

“We still don’t know if we are going to sing this song or why not? A few more. The truth is that we have four unpublished ones, and all four of them seemed very good to us, they are exceptional. That’s why the surprise may come live,” he said Lidia.

“And it is a song that comes at the ideal moment, where we return to a pop style that has characterized us, but very advanced, and meanwhile urban -I have nothing against it- but I do think we marked the difference and it is what we are, it is the essence of OV7”, added Óscar.

In recent months, OV7 has regained strength by returning to the stage with a tour that was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic, and again last year due to differences between the members.

Already engaged in the show, the septet with themes “Shabadabada” and “Love Colada” has been a trend due to many circumstances, including the meme that compares their outfits with those of the German group Rammstein.

“There have been a lot of memes, they have caused us a lot of fun, but I think that the one that has been fabulous, and the one that I have in mind the most, is that of Rammstein. It made us laugh a lot and well, if we go to those, we hope that They invite us to Vive Latino, right? We would do something there Although, thinking about it, better not, because instead of throwing doctors Simi at us, they throw tomatoes at us, “said Óscar.

they treasure gifts

In the half year that OV7 has been on tour with THIRTY, several of their fans have thrown Dr. Simi dolls and far from ignoring them, the singers keep them to “accompany” them at their shows.

“They are stored and they are with us on tour. There must be eight or 10 of us that we have, and they put them behind the screens that rotate and move during the show.

“We know about the tradition, we know that they are for a philanthropic cause and there we have them. The number of Simis will surely increase,” said Oscar.
