Even if the district judge decides to acquit them, it does not mean that they will be released from prison, because in addition to this sentence, face others that add up to 250 years in prison in different criminal proceedings.

It turns out that in the amparo filed by Daniel Arizmendi, “El Mochaorejas”, with which his sentence was annulled, he and three other defendants denounced that they were victims of torture to confess the crimes for which they were sentenced.
Faced with these accusations, the Collegiate Court ordered the judge in the case to gather evidence so that, if it is proven that they were indeed victims of torture, a complaint is filed with the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) to initiate an investigation file.
