2023 has been an interesting year with adaptations of video games to movies or TV series. Super Mario Bros. The Movie y The Last of Us are perhaps an example of this… And in one of those, the series of Twisted Metalof which by the way we already have a first teaser trailer.
Said project was announced in 2021 and of course it was a surprise for the most nostalgic fans of Sony’s game franchises. So two years after it was released, we finally have a look that, to say the least, looks striking.
Do you remember when you played the game and chose your favorite car to start the fight in different scenarios? Twisted Metal was crazy at the time, and his magic came from how unusual the concept of ‘vehicular combat’ games was (if it is called that, hehe).
And as we were saying, it was a surprise that someone suddenly thought of adapting the video game What would the plot be and how would this story be conducted? Well, the new trailer for the series gives us an idea of where this action-comedy series will go.
In the new teaser trailer for the series Twisted Metalwe see Anthony Mackie’s character as he sets out on a journey through the desert, loading his shotgun and firing off his car’s arsenal of bullets. while in the background the cheerful “Steal My Sunshine” by the band Len.
But then things get dark when we are shown the classic ice cream truck of that twisted clown named Needles Kane (also known as Sweet Tooth), who laughs like a madman. If his appearance already looks crazy, everything gets tense when we see the pile of bloody knives he has in the vehicle.
According to the official synopses, the series of Twisted Metal will focus on an outsider who has been promised a better life, provided he concludes the mission to leave a mysterious package in a post-apocalyptic location. The catch: You’ll have to survive a host of threats, including assassins, thieves, and that twisted clown, and more… Here is the trailer for the Twisted Metal series.

What did you think of the trailer for the series? Twisted Metal? It looks interesting, doesn’t it? The thing is, probably here in Latin America we are going to have to wait a while longer to see it.
The series premieres on July 27 on Peacock, the streaming platform that NBCUniversal… which is not available in Mexico. But regularly, within that enormous world that distribution agreements are, some other platform gambles to bring it here. as has happened with the new series of the Prince of Bel-Air. We will be attentive to that detail.
