Julian Nagelsmann and Manuel Neuer have apparently made peace. As the ‘Bild’ reports, there was a discussion between the coach and the captain of FC Bayern Munich this week. This was preceded by Neuer’s highly regarded interviews with ‘The Athletic’ and the ‘Süddeutsche Zeitung’.
In these, the captain had sharply criticized and dramatized the dismissal of his goalkeeping coach and friend Toni Tapalovic. Neuer felt like you had him “heart ripped out” and told about people who “burst into tears” be.
It had already become known that Nagelsmann in particular had campaigned for Tapalovic’s dismissal. On further cooperation with the 35-year-old, Neuer said: “That means that I exchange ideas with Julian and work with him professionally.”
Report at the top of the club is still pending
A professional interview has now taken place. Apparently coaches and keeper found a level where the biggest problems could be solved. Whether Neuer, who is injured until the new season, can remain captain is still open. A report to the club leadership is still pending.
